Local Spotlight ~ E&M Reptile Family

E&M Reptile Family

In 2005, Eric Johnson and his wife Michelle moved to the Central Valley and opened E&M’s Reptile Family, LLC. As a family, they bring education and excitement to schools, libraries and events; introducing people to the world of exotic wildlife.  Eric graduated in 2003 with certifications in Wildlife Education, Exotic Animal Training and Management, and Zoology from Moorpark College.

As a family, they have shared a passion for animals and a mission to rescue these animals from dangerous situations. The 80+ animals they work with are primarily rescued from abusive or neglectful environments and in turn help to educate the public on what to consider when purchasing an exotic animal as a family pet. In addition to animal presentations, they also encourage the public to reach out to them for help with a current reptile pet, or when considering a new exotic pet.

With a hands-on approach, they have been able to share their passion for wildlife with our community. Bringing their family of bugs, frogs, lizards, turtles, tortoises and snakes along to events we have learned how important these animals are and how important education is in bringing an exotic animal home as a pet.

The family is available for pet education, private events, classroom visits and for residential/commercial snake removal (venomous and non-venomous) and custom enclosure designing.

Check out their YouTube channel to meet Eric and Michelle and see a few of the animals they have rescued.
