The delicious season of Gisler Farms Sweet Corn is upon us!!! Starting Monday June 8th at 9:00 you can tap into that summer favorite. There is almost nothing better to welcome summer than Gisler Farms Sweet Corn. Get your butter and grills ready! They will have yellow and white corn at 9:00 am and have it until its sold out for the day.
Here is the story of the famous corn and the family responsible.
"Gisler Farms is a family owned and operated business and has been selling sweet corn in Porterville, CA since 1986. Originally, the corn stand started in Oxnard, CA. Leo and Helen Gisler, along with their three children, grew and sold their produce there. Eventually, Leo and Helen moved their farming operation to Porterville. Meanwhile, their son David earned his degree in Farm Management from Cal Poly. David returned to the family farm and married Kim Kennedy of Porterville. David & Kim’s children, Matt and Katie, started at a very early age working at the corn stand each summer. When David and Matt are not at the corn stand, they continue to work together year round farming other commodities. The Gisler family thanks everyone for their business and looks forward to seeing all of you each summer for many years to come!"
